Takeshi Kamioka, the owner and chef of Gaysha New World Sushi Bar, has been immersed in Japanese restaurants since he was just a boy. After moving to South Florida when Takeshi was only 9 years of age, his parents opened a sushi restaurant, where he learned to cut fish and prep food.
Now with 25 plus years of experience in Japanese Cuisine, Takeshi presents the world with Gaysha. A gay and straight friendly sushi bar where traditional Japanese techniques are combined with a modern twist; resulting in cutting edge concepts and creations! Takeshi believes in only using fresh seafood, organic produce and homemade sauces. He does not employ a deep fryer, tempura or cream cheese, or kani stick in any of his creations. Focusing on health conscious Asian food is Takeshi's goal and works diligently to provide fresh, unique, healthy, and of course mouth watering sushi creations to all of his patrons!
